A new Volvo front loader waste truck has made its way to the West Coast making collecting large commercial bins quicker and easier.
The new truck has come about through a significant contribution from the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board High Priority Investment Program – Remote Councils Special Projects.
This has been made possible through the support of the Tasmanian Government and the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board.
“We are continuing to build a West Coast that is a fantastic place to live, work and play,” said West Coast Mayor Shane Pitt.
“This includes our waste strategy, and a new front-loader to assist with waste collection and keeping our LGA clean and tidy, is excellent.
“Thank you to all involved and we all look forward to seeing it on the road.”
